Women's Outdoor Bouldering - 17.Mar.2026

$0.00

Join us for a women’s outdoor bouldering session in Brisbane!

This gathering is inspired by Ollin: the Aztec-Mexica concept of movement, transformation, and renewal. Ollin reminds us that life is always in motion, shaped through effort, pressure, struggle, and return.

Bouldering brings this idea into the body. Each climb asks us to read the rock, move with intention, adapt under pressure, and return after each attempt. The stone stays still, but we change through the process of moving with it.

Purpose: To create a space for women to learn, enjoy outdoor bouldering, and connect with others.

What to Expect: We will be bouldering at White Rock in the greater Brisbane area with Sarah Hutto; Sarah will be present to offer general support and guidance to new climbers.

Sarah Hutto’s Bio: After quitting gymnastics, I focused on climbing for a few years as a young adult. I left the sport because it lacked basic support and inclusivity for women at the time.

Twelve years later, I started climbing again. I figured it would just be for fun due to my age, and surprised myself with how quickly I picked it back up. I took up route setting and coaching, and have made it my primary goal to help drive a positive, welcoming culture for women. Nobody should ever feel the way I did when I was a young climber. I'm very passionate about creating an equitable space for everyone, crafting climbs that highlight women's natural strengths, and ensuring that women feel confident and comfortable in the gym!

I run a ladies climbing night every month at Bould Move to help connect women with each other, get new climbers off to a good start, and ensure there's a recurring time and space where women can learn more about what training, climbing and social resources there are available to them.

Intensity: There will be beginner to advanced routes. Whether you’re a total newbie or a seasoned crusher - all levels are welcome! :)

What to Bring: Climbing shoes, chalk bag, water, snacks, sunscreen, climbing pads (if you have them bring them!)

What’s Included: crash pads (limited depending on RSVPs), great camaraderie, connection with fellow female climbers, beautiful outdoors

When: Saturday, 17.May.2026

Time: 11AM to 4pm (time subject to change depending on conditions)

Where: White Rock, Ipswich - Brisbane, QLD

Disclaimer: RSVP is a must as we will need to ensure enough crashpads to attendees. Additional meeting details will be sent to those who RSVP. Anyone who attends this social gathering will be liable for their own injuries. SANTO-FI is not responsible or liable for any injuries or damages to attendees should they occur during session.
