This gathering is an invitation to spend time in nature bouldering and learning fundamental techniques with like minded people.
-
To create a space for women to learn, enjoy outdoor bouldering, and connect with others.
Scientific evidence links social connection and community participation with improved mental and physical health and lower risk of premature mortality.
-
We will be led by Edmund Gemelo who will be teaching fundamentals and techniques to outdoor bouldering. This will help for anyone interested in transitioning from indoor to outdoor.
Members of the Santo-Fi climbing team will be available to assist anyone new to bouldering outdoors. We will be climbing some boulders while intermittently enjoying the scenery of the park. There will be beginner to advanced bouldering problems. All levels welcome.
Edmund Gemelo Bio - @optacure: Edmund has been climbing for 14 years. He was one of the first Filipinos to qualify and compete in the 2005 World Youth Championships for both Lead climbing and Speed climbing. Edmund has been exposed to various types of climbing, including trad climbing in Victoria, and Sport climbing in NSW and Queensland. Additionally, he has also helped developed crags and bouldering routes in QLD.
