Join us for a day of hiking and photography at Springbrook National Park
This gathering is inspired by Ollin: the Aztec-Mexica concept of movement, transformation, and renewal. Ollin reminds us that the world is always in motion: water falling, mist shifting, light moving through the trees, roots growing through soil, and the body moving through the landscape.
About: Springbrook National Park has breathtaking lookouts, magnificent waterfalls, dense rainforest and ancient Antarctic beech trees. The park is part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage area.
Purpose: For this gathering, we will explore Ollin through photography while being outside and enjoying nature with a hike.
What to Expect: We will be hiking the Twin Falls loop (4km total). During the hike, attendees will take photos, connect with one another, and explore simple photography prompts inspired by movement, water, light, trees, and the rainforest environment.
Depending on the conditions, we may hangout and swim at one of the swimming holes.
This gathering is for anyone new to photography to a seasoned pro.
What to Bring: Camera or smartphone, water, sunscreen, snacks, swimwear/bathers
